Teachers With Heart is the school staff component of the
American Heart Association's Jump Rope for Heart and
Hoops for Heart events. Becoming a school's event coordinator helps to engage colleagues and staff and gets them involved in the fight against heart disease.
It is also an opportunity to educate youth and adults about living a heart-healthy lifestyle and show the importance of community service. Plus, getting more people involved – in school and in the community – means more fun!

The American Heart Association's
Jump Rope for Heart and
Hoops for Heart programs help kids learn more about staying fit and how to help others.
The programs teach them about the:
- seriousness of heart disease and stroke.
- lifelong benefits of physical activity.
- importance of living a heart-healthy lifestyle.
Plus, by securing sponsors for either jumping rope or playing basketball, students help raise money for the fight against heart disease and stroke.
SUBWAY® restaurants is a proud national sponsor of these programs.
